In order to make the PGSA databases available
without requiring use of Polish fonts, PGSA has adopted the following
alphabetical convention for (.html) pages.
Acrobat (.pdf) files will have typically
display the correct font.
The Polish alphabet as it appears over the
internet to non-Polish speakers:
a a~ b c c~ d e e~ f g h i j k
l l~ m
n n~ o o~ p r s s~ t u w y z z~
The "~" (tilde symbol) after a
letter means that previous letter has an accent or slash over it for the
letters c,n,o,s and z; or a hook under under it in the case of a and e;
or a line through the letter for "l". Finally z~~ means
a dot over the "z".
