Alphabetic Conventions In order to make the PGSA databases available without requiring use of Polish fonts, PGSA has adopted the following alphabetical convention for (.html) pages. Acrobat (.pdf) files will have typicaaly display the correct font. The Polish alphabet as it appears over the internet to non-Polish speakers: a a~ b c c~ d e e~ f g h i j k l l~ m n n~ o o~ p r s s~ t u w y z z~ z~~ The "~" (tilde symbol) after a letter means that previous letter has an accent or slash over it for the letters c,n,o,s and z; or a hook under under it in the case of a and e; or a line through the letter for "l". Finally z~~ means a dot over the "z".
