My dilemna is as follows: My original inquiry was in July 2006. It was acknowledged, and payment was made by bank wire in October 2006. Various e-mails have told me, that we have a very non responsive Roman Catholic priest at the parish of Debowiec in the Rzeszow area. Apparently the records have not been filmed, and the only recourse is to physically visit the church. They settled on the north side of Chicago after immigrating from Poland. Stanislaus Jagodzinski married Maria Rzetelny. Childrens' names were, Anna, Andrew, Mary and Evelyn Martha. Seeking information about the Karl Droese, August Batz, and Frederick Doege families. They lived in Jastrow (Jastrowie), Poznan District, West Prussia in the mid to late 1800s. Karl worked at a brewery. Karl married Amelia Doege. After his death in about 1892-3 Amelia married August Batz in about 1893-4 then immigrated to America in 1899. They were all protestant. Researching a Polish forefather, Count Swabowska, whose family was from Opolskie. Family history indicates he fled Poland in 1780-1790, joined the Prussian army and left at the beginning of the 1800s, using the name Joes Bernardus Swabe. He became a forester for Count von Fuerstenberg in Herdringen, Westfalen, Germany, and was married. His first child was named Maximillian Clemens Petrus Willebaldus Swabe. The name was soon changed to Schwabe.
